Allegedly Threatened Another Man, Then Told Police His Tummy Hurt.
According to the arrest report, Tuccillo arrived at the house with a crowbar, using his own key to unlock the door. He told officers he brought the crowbar for self-defense, claiming a man staying at the residence had threatened him with a knife the night before — an incident that police had responded to but that resulted in no arrests. When the man and the home’s resident came to the door and told Tuccillo he shouldn’t be there, a confrontation erupted. A woman at the scene suffered a small laceration to her right leg while attempting to close the door.
After being read his Miranda rights, Tuccillo allegedly acknowledged threatening the other man with the crowbar raised in the air, saying — according to the affidavit — “I’ll beat your f–king ass” and warning that if the man came at him, he was “going to get hurt.” The victim, who provided a sworn statement to police, said he was in genuine fear of being struck with the crowbar. The victim’s account was independently corroborated by the woman at the residence.
