Nicky Caruso Tells Cops “Catch Me If You Can.” They Did.
According to a probable cause affidavit reviewed by BocaNewsNow.com, the victim told investigators that Caruso became enraged after she ended their relationship on May 29, 2026, and immediately began calling and texting her multiple times per day despite being told repeatedly to stop all contact. The trouble escalated on the night of June 1, when Caruso showed up unannounced at her residence, banged on the door, refused to leave, and allegedly sent threatening texts — including one stating he would “kill someone in front of you.” The victim, fearing for her safety, displayed a firearm and verbally ordered him to leave. Caruso eventually departed but continued sending messages throughout the night and into the following days.
The situation worsened when law enforcement responded to the home after Caruso returned again. Deputies answered the victim’s phone when Caruso called, identified themselves, and told him to cease contact. Rather than comply, Caruso became verbally aggressive — telling deputies “catch me if you can” — and then became fixated on a specific deputy he had spoken with, accusing the victim of having a relationship with the officer. Caruso then sent a series of messages threatening to find, identify, and murder the deputy, writing that he would “rip his head off” and “f—ing kill that m———-r in front of you,” according to the affidavit.
The victim told investigators she had obtained a stalking injunction and that Caruso was evading service. She also said hat Caruso’s conduct had forced her and her children to vacate their home out of fear. Investigators obtained an emergency subpoena and one-time phone ping that placed Caruso within approximately 1,058 meters of the victim’s residence on the evening of June 3, 2026.
