Broward Health leadership, city officials and community members officially cut the ribbon on the new Broward Health Lighthouse Point ER.
June 4, 2026 – Broward Health leadership, local dignitaries, physicians and community members recently gathered to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of Broward Health’s inaugural freestanding emergency room. The first of its kind in Lighthouse Point, the new ER significantly expands access to critical, high-quality emergency medical services for residents across northern Broward County.
Located at 5360 N. Federal Highway, Broward Health has transformed a 1.03-acre site into a state-of-the-art, two-story, 14,074-square-foot emergency room designed to deliver hospital-level emergency care to an anticipated 18,000 patients annually, with additional physician offices on the second floor.
There are 10 emergency exam rooms on the first floor and advanced diagnostic services, including CT scans and X-rays, point-of-care laboratory testing, a resuscitation room and ambulance access. Eight additional exam rooms on the second floor are designated for medical and physician offices, further enhancing access to care in the community…
