Florida Power & Light Co. will continue investing in grid improvements across Coral Springs, Parkland and Coconut Creek in 2026 as part of its ongoing effort to reduce power outages and speed restoration following severe weather.
The planned infrastructure upgrades include underground power line projects, smart grid technology, tree trimming, and power pole inspections, all designed to strengthen the electric system before future storms.
In Coral Springs, FPL plans to install four intelligent devices that automatically detect outages and reroute electricity to minimize service disruptions.
