When you ask Miami residents about who the worst drivers are, most will give you the same answer: Miami drivers. Turning signals are treated like a weakness, highways feel like a constant battle and a yellow traffic light is a sign to accelerate. If we’re being real, driving in the city is an extreme sport.

So when a recent survey by American River Wellness Recovery set out to find the “most passive-aggressive” roads in the country, we all assumed Miami would take the title for Florida. But to our surprise, the road most likely to cause this kind of behavior in the state isn’t even in Miami-Dade!

What is the most passive aggressive road in Florida?

Instead of explosive road rage, the study polled 3,011 U.S. drivers on “low-level territorial” driving, like speeding up when someone signals, blocking intersections, brake-checking and staring straight ahead while pretending not to see someone trying to merge.

When it comes to these kinds of driving habits, Florida is part of the “Big 3” states — alongside California and New York — that dominate the rankings. And within the Sunshine State, the worst road for passive-aggressive driving is U.S. 1 (Federal Highway) in Fort Lauderdale, per the data…
