Adam Keith Has Multiple DUIs, Tells Troopers He Smokes Weed, Wishes He Was Shot…
The pursuit began around 8:46 a.m. on June 14 when an FHP sergeant radioed that a red Slingshot was actively fleeing his marked patrol car. The sergeant tried to slow the vehicle by swerving across lanes at roughly 60 miles per hour, but Keith blew past him and continued north. Troopers said Keith hit an estimated 113 miles per hour in a 65 zone near Northlake Boulevard, made aggressive lane changes, and at one point cut directly in front of a patrol car, nearly causing a collision.
The chase ended near PGA Boulevard and Donald Ross Road, where another FHP Trooper moved in front of the Slingshot and troopers slowed it to about 64 miles per hour. Keith tried to escape through the inside grassy median, lost control, struck the rear of another Trooper’s patrol car and sideswiped the guardrail, according to the arrest report. The vehicle was blocked, Keith was pulled from the vehicle, taken to the ground and handcuffed at 8:58 a.m. Troopers reported he repeatedly banged his head against the patrol car window and said several times, “(The arresting Trooper) should’ve shot and killed him.”…
