Residents will not be able to purchase dogs and cats from stores in Coconut Creek.
During the June 11 meeting, the commission approved amending the city’s Code of Ordinances involving the retail sale of dogs and cats to delete the definition of hobby breeder.
Coconut Creek has prohibited pet stores and shops from displaying, selling, trading, delivering, or giving away dogs and cats.
