Boca Raton Man Accused of Violating ‘Super Speeder’ Law While Intoxicated

A Boca Raton man is accused of violating Florida’s ‘super speeder’ law while intoxicated on Palmetto Park Road, according to police.

William Demoss, 31, was taken into custody shortly before midnight June 17 following a traffic stop on West Palmetto Park Road, according to Boca Raton Police Department reports and a probable cause affidavit filed in court this week. Police said an officer in a marked patrol vehicle observed a gray 2025 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck “rapidly accelerating” while turning eastbound onto West Palmetto Park Road near Military Trail. The officer accelerated to approximately 90 m.p.h. in an attempt to catch up to the driver, who was estimated to have been traveling at about 90 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. zone, the report said…
