Major heat risk in effect for South Florida today

South Florida will experience dangerous heat levels on Monday, as a “prolonged stretch” of elevated temperatures continues.

A major heat risk is in effect for parts of the region, according to the National Weather Service, primarily concentrated along the east coast, including some of the Miami area, Fort Lauderdale and Homestead.
