Gas prices have changed in South Florida ahead of July 4 travel. Check your area

Gas prices have increased this week in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas as drivers get ready to hit the road for the long Fourth of July weekend.

As of Monday, June 29, gas prices are up by double digits across Florida from the same time last week. Prices across the county are down.

The average Miami-area price is 38 cents a gallon lower per gallon than a month ago but 85 cents higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy, a national fuel monitoring service that surveys nearly 1,700 stations in South Florida…
