NEW BERN — A federal judge has sentenced a Florida man to more than 12 years in prison after a multi-state drug trafficking investigation involving two Nash County law enforcement agencies.
Kerby Pata, 40, of Miramar, Florida, was sentenced to more than 12 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute more than 11 pounds of cocaine and conspiracy to possess with intent to sell more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations and the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with state and local law enforcement partners including the Nash County Sheriff’s Office and Nashville Police Department.
