If you have UnitedHealthcare insurance and your care is at UHealth — the University of Miami Health System — you have until July 31 to watch this situation resolve or change your plans.
If the two sides do not reach a new contract agreement by that date, UHealth goes out of network for most UnitedHealthcare members on August 1, 2026. That includes commercial plans, exchange plans, and Medicaid plans. All UHealth physicians, hospitals, and affiliated providers across all locations.
The deadline is 23 days away. Negotiations are ongoing. No deal has been announced.
