The legacy of Coral Springs Charter softball coach Mark Montimurro continues to grow after he was officially elected to the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) Hall of Fame.
“Any Hall of Fame induction is a tremendous and humbling honor, Montimurro said. “ To be an inducted, active coach is pretty cool too. I still have the fire to do it. Every time I think about giving it up, we get a batch of young kids that reinvigorate me, and I think about the possibility of winning more titles. I want every group that comes through our program to feel the thrill of winning states.”
Montimurro has established himself as one of the most successful softball coaches in the country, winning eight state championships during his career.
