“Domestic first class has become easy to predict. We think it’s time for a fresh take,” JetBlue CEO Joanna Geraghty said in announcing the product. Seats will offer five inches of recline and up to seven extra inches of legroom over Main cabin seating, along with Bluetooth pairing for wireless headphones, in-seat USB-A, USB-C and 110VAC power outlets, and free high-speed Fly-Fi internet from gate to gate. On overnight flights, passengers get a blanket and a snooze kit.
Food and drink got a rework too. JetBlue is introducing FirstFare, bento-box style meals on flights of 899 miles or longer, with choices like sesame noodles or sweet and savory crepes. Snacks will rotate from brands including Sockerbit, Tosi and Cape Cod Chips, while the beverage list leans upscale with wines from New York’s Parcelle, coffee from Cometeer and Joe Coffee, and teas from Smith Teamaker — served in glassware from Fable alongside coasters designed by New York illustrator Danielle Rose Fisher.
BlueFirst customers also get Group 1 boarding, dedicated overhead bin space, priority check-in, expedited security access at more than 30 airports, two free checked bags and no change or cancel fees on BlueFirst and BlueFirst Flex fares. JetBlue says…
