Property owners along Coral Springs’ main shopping and dining corridor can now build taller and cater to more businesses following the passage of new zoning rules on Sept. 2.
The City Commission rezoned properties along Sample Road and University Drive, creating a “downtown mixed-use” area, which allows for eight-story structures, artisan businesses, sidewalk cafés and other features that were previously prohibited.
The new zoning rules affect popular shopping and dining destinations, including the Promenade and Colonial Plaza shopping centers, Wings Plus, the Cook and the Cork, Runyon’s, LaQuinta Inn and Suites and the Belle Terre business center.
