POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of employees were shorted thousands of dollars while working at a seafood restaurant in Pompano Beach, an investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor found.
The 31 employees will soon be receiving $23,644 each to make up for the lost wages, federal officials announced last week. The Department of Labor recovered the funds from the Miyako Japanese Buffet after an investigation found that the owner failed to pay workers their full wages.
