DoorDash Delivery “Call 911” Note Becomes Lifeline for Coconut Creek Woman During Alleged Assault

A Coconut Creek woman allegedly trapped inside her home during a violent domestic assault found a resourceful way to call for help: she placed a DoorDash order and used the delivery instructions to ask the driver to call 911.

The plea came after hours of alleged abuse in which police say the woman was beaten, strangled until she lost consciousness, and stabbed with a broken pair of scissors.

According to Coconut Creek Police Department arrest records, following officers responded to a home near the 400 block of Sunshine Drive on September 6 and arrested Derek J. Frazier, 24, following an investigation into the alleged attack…
