Man dies after being struck by Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A man was killed early Tuesday morning after being struck by a Brightline train in Fort Lauderdale, police confirmed.

Officers with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department said they responded to a report of a Brightline train striking a pedestrian just north of the Broward Boulevard crossing, near the Brightline station just before 1:30 a.m.

Police said they arrived at the scene and found man who had been struck by the train. They said Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue medics pronounced him dead at the scene…
