Broward County School Board accuses veteran bookkeeper of theft, records show

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 57-year-old woman faced a grand theft charge on Thursday after the Broward County School Board accused her of stealing nearly $5,000 in public education funds, records show.

Prosecutors filed a felony case against Shauntay Poole, of Fort Lauderdale, on Wednesday, over the school board’s accusations, according to Broward County court records.

Sgt. Thomas Honan, a detective with the Broward Schools Police special investigations unit, listed Poole’s place of employment for 28 years as the “Broward District Schools,” according to an arrest report in the case…
