PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. — Five years after 19-year-old college student Miya Marcano was killed, her family and friends gathered in Pembroke Pines Saturday to remember her life and ensure her name and legacy are never forgotten.
Loved ones held a memorial procession through the city, displaying Marcano’s name and photo on banners along the route to her alma mater, Flanagan High School.
