MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – Monroe County Sheriff’s Office marine deputies issued mandatory court appearance notices to three individuals on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, during separate fisheries enforcement stops in the Florida Keys.
The first stop occurred around noon at the No Name Key Bridge in the Lower Keys. Deputy Luis Guiardinu approached Lazaro Caceres Garcia, 57, of Jacksonville, Florida, who was fishing at the bridge. Caceres Garcia was found with two undersized gray triggerfish. A woman fishing alongside him was also cited for fishing without a valid saltwater license.
Later that afternoon, at about 5 p.m., Islamorada Marine Deputy Jason Farr conducted a check at the Whale Harbor Bridge. Deputy Farr stopped William Ortega Ramirez, 24, and Melany Marquez-Sanchez, 19, both from Fort Lauderdale, Florida…
