This popular Miami taco spot from California is now open in Aventura

The Taco Stand, the taqueria inspired by Baja California, has opened its fourth location in Aventura.

Created by founders Julian Hakim and Aram Baloyan, who grew up in the border region, the first Taco Stand opened in La Jolla, California in 2013. The Aventura location has taken over the former spot of Bodega Taqueria Y Tequila, which opened in 2021 but closed quietly around two years later.

There’s seating indoors for 25 diners and an outdoor patio that seats 20, but it also functions as a takeout spot for the busy city. The official opening is Oct. 1, but if you’re driving down Biscayne Boulevard on Sept. 30 don’t be afraid to stop — you will be able to grab some Mexican food as part of the soft opening…
