POLICE STANDING BY. FENCING UP. UNINVITED TRICK-OR-TREATERS MAY BE ARRESTED.
The story is similar across the corridor that runs from Lyons Road to the east and 441 to the west between Atlantic and Clint Moore. Communities including Seven Bridges, Boca Bridges, The Bridges, Lotus, Mizner Country Club, and others are taking extreme measures this year to prevent kids who have no business being in the communities from gaining access. Their parents are banned, too. Over the past several years, many of these communities have experienced drunk parents driving kids on golf carts. Kids who are unattended, left to roam and vandalize. Clubhouses that become party venues without permission. And other problems.
Anyone entering many of the area communities tonight will be required to show identification — even kids in cars that are being driven by adults. If names aren’t on lists, they’re not getting in.
We remind readers that any HOA can “trespass” a guest. Police have the authority to arrest anyone flagged by an HOA security officer as being in the community without permission and/or anyone who is causing problems…
