BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Broward County Public School families, mark your calendars, the district has approved the calendar for the 2024-25 school year. According to a decision made during a school board meeting on Tuesday, the first day of school is set for Monday, Aug. 12, 2024. It is one week earlier than the first day of school for the 2023-24 school year. Administrators said the decision was made keeping the needs of district families, students and staff in mind.
