Argument Over a Woman and Jobs Turn Social Outing into Tragedy in Pompano Beach

A casual evening among friends turned tragic in Pompano Beach when Domingo Espinoza, a 30-year-old father of three, allegedly shot a man during an argument, leaving the victim on life support. Espinoza is now facing an attempted murder charge, as detailed in a report by Local 10 News.

The incident, which occurred on Nov. 2 at 317 SW Second Place, was captured by a surveillance camera at the Señoritas Cabaret, an adult entertainment club across the street from where the group was gathered.

According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the argument between Espinoza and the victim escalated over a discussion about a woman and their respective jobs.

Detective Jennifer Petrofsky, in her report on the incident, described the crucial moments leading to the shooting: “The victim appears to throw his hat in anger. Approximately 20 seconds later, you can see a muzzle flash, and the male with that hat drops to the floor.”

Espinoza, who was described by witnesses as easily angered and intoxicated, appeared in court on Wednesday. He was arrested on Dec. 19 and is currently held without bond at the main jail in Fort Lauderdale.
