Living right next to a public park used to have serious benefits, but now, it’s nothing but a daily nuisance.

Eileen Ramos of Florida strategically chose her house at the end of the road against the boundary of South Miami Park because her kids were safe, and could play in peace.

“There was a quiet, dead end street,” she told local Fox affiliate WSVN.

“The kids could ride bike there. They’re safe. It was fantastic.”

After a little more than 10 years, however, everything changed for the worse.

The city of Miami had a portion of the gate separating Ramos’ home from the park and replaced it with a metal gate, in order to grant people from the neighborhood access to the park.

Instead of parking in the largely empty parking lot within the park, many people choose to park at the very end of the street Ramos lives on.
