Fatal Confrontation Unfolds at Plantation Gas Station

In the early hours of Friday, tragedy struck in Lauderhill, Florida, as a series of events unfolded, culminating in the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Roshod Graham by Plantation police. The incident began when Graham used his car to smash into a Plantation gas station convenience store. Inside the store, a woman sought refuge from Graham, assisted by the vigilant minimart clerk who promptly called 911 for help.

Surveillance footage from the Mobil station at 10261 W. Broward Blvd. captured the tense moments as Graham, donned in a white shirt, relentlessly pounded on the store door. The clerk and the woman retreated to a back room, barricading themselves as Graham successfully broke in. However, his time inside was short-lived, as the arrival of law enforcement prompted his swift exit.

A police chase ensued, with Graham reportedly ramming a police unit in an attempt to evade capture. Despite the collision, he continued to flee until his escape was halted by a median on Lauderhill’s Northwest 31st Avenue. Confronted by police, Graham allegedly tried to forcibly take an officer’s gun, resulting in a fatal confrontation where he was shot.
