A fatal accident early Sunday morning has resulted in the closure of multiple southbound lanes on Interstate 95, causing significant traffic delays.
The incident, which occurred just after 4:00 a.m. near Marina Mile Boulevard, has scattered debris across the roadway, complicating clean-up and investigation efforts.
According to Local 10 News, which provided extensive coverage of the aftermath, the crash involved multiple vehicles, one of which was fatal. The videos also showed at least six or seven vehicles involved in the crash.
Sadly, the presence of a yellow tarp in the midst of the accident scene suggests the severity of the incident, with at least one person confirmed dead.
The footage also depicted several severely damaged vehicles parked along the roadside, highlighting the crash’s impact.
Authorities are currently on the scene, conducting thorough investigations to determine the cause of the accident.
