FL Deli Said To Have The “Best Pastrami and Roast Beef Sandwiches” Closed Down By State Inspection

In the past, when I’ve written about delis in Florida, some commenters have noted that Florida does not have many great delis, and some recommended delis that were like those they remembered from northern states.

Perhaps because of this thinking, some delis in Florida strive to serve as New York delis or other state-specific selections.

However, one popular similar deli in Florida was recently shut down by state inspections but appears to be reopened.

About Ben’s Kosher Deli: According to the restaurant’s website, it is a New York Kosher delicatessen that serves Eastern European choices as well. It’s been in business since the 1970s and is family-owned.

Ben’s is a chain and has locations in New York, with only one in Florida.

Although some entrees are arguably a bit pricey – with a corned beef sandwich running $15.49 – some patrons who have left reviews do not seem to mind.

Boca Raton patrons give Ben’s 4 out of 5 stars and a review named Mark writes:

“Nothing better than getting pickles ( sour and half sour) (and) coleslaw when you sit down. Best pastrami and corned beef sandwiches around town! Highly recommend this spot for an authentic deli sandwich.”
