Kodak Black Released From Prison; Gets Into Serious Fight At Jail’s Entrance On His Way Out

Kodak Black would have his attorney, Bradford Cohen , to thank after the rapper was released from prison on the night of Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

Even though Kodak pleaded guilty to one count of failure to report police contact, Judge Jose Martinez dismissed all other counts, and with time served, he was released.

In an unexpected twist immediately Kodak Black walked out of Broward County jail on Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale, and he quickly got aggressive when a Local 10 News team accosted him.

The 26-year-old rapper threatened to punch Reporter Rosh Lowe and threw rocks at Photojournalist Bryan Murphy.

One of the rocks that the rapper picked up from the ground and threw while outside of the Broward main jail hit Murphy in the ribs .

Per available reports, the police originally planned to charge the artiste with cocaine possession after arresting him in December 2023, when they found a “white chunky substance” in his vehicle.

His probation was however violated when he was eventually charged with possession of oxycodone. This compelled Cohen to quickly come forward and argue that Kodak had a prescription for the painkillers. He added that the arresting officer substantially misrepresented his observations but went ahead to file the charges.
