A Florida Target In An Old Kmart With A Bealls, Publix, & Five Below Nearby Is Grand Opening Soon

Floridians know that the state has no shortage of places to buy groceries. And you don’t need to stick to grocery stores. Supercenters like Walmart and Target also have groceries. But sometimes these stores need to be built, and occasionally, developers find it easier to use an old, existing building instead of starting all over. Residents in Bradenton will soon see this in an old Kmart that will soon be a Target.

This process isn’t unheard of. I’ve written about a Home Depot possibility being built in an old, Mandarin Kmart and an Amped Fitness in Tallahassee being developed out of an old Bed, Bath, and Beyond. And now Bradenton will see this process happen with a Target store.

About Beachway Plaza: The shopping center that will house the new Target will include the discount retailer Five Below. Shadow anchoring is courtesy of Publix, Beall’s, PetSmart, and Staples.

About The New Target Store And Its Grand Opening: This store, planned for nearly four years, was originally planned to be only 49,000 square feet. But those plans have changed and patrons will get a larger store. It will now be 76,000 square feet and will include a Starbucks cafe, CVS pharmacy, a and liquor store- all housed at Manatee Avenue West in Beachway Plaza.
