Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba Offloads $50 Million in Narcotics at Port Everglades After Eastern Pacific Interdiction

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Escanaba (WMEC 907) has successfully completed a major drug interdiction operation, leading to the offloading of approximately $50 million worth of cocaine and marijuana at Port Everglades. According to a Coast Guard press release, the crew brought in more than 3,400 pounds of cocaine and 4,410 pounds of marijuana, interdicted in international waters off South America in the Eastern Pacific Ocean.
