WORKWEEK WEATHER: Brace for barbecues and Florida’s busiest month for hurricanes

OCALA, FL (352today.com) – For most of the country, Labor Day symbolizes summer’s unofficial end. For Floridians, it brings us the busiest month of the hurricane season. Between 1991 and 2020, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) reported that there were typically four to five storms that developed every September. Out of these storms, maybe two to three turned into hurricanes, and at least one of them was classified as Category 3 or higher.
