Dolphins, Jalen Ramsey Agree To Another Record-Setting Extension: Report

Ramsey remained one of the NFL’s best cornerbacks, despite battling injuries during his first season with the Dolphins in 2023. The former Florida State University standout recorded 22 tackles, three interceptions and five passes defended in 10 games last season, having missed the first few weeks of the season while recovering from a full meniscus repair in his left knee.

Ramsey was acquired in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams that included a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long being sent to Los Angeles, as well as the Dolphins giving Ramsey an additional $25 million guaranteed while taking on his previous two-year deal paying an average of $20 million annually, Rapoport reported at the time. The Tennessee native’s five-year, $105 million extension with Los Angeles in 2020 previously made him the highest-paid defensive back in NFL history.
