A young Floridian girl died after a car outside at a local Miami pharmacy

A young girl who was hit by a car outside a Navarro Discount Pharmacy in Miami on Monday has sadly passed away, according to Local 10 News. Seven-year-old Stephanie Figueredo, the report said, surrendered to her injuries after several days of fighting for her life.

“Our beloved Stephanie has sadly passed away,” the family revealed on GoFundMe.

The accident occurred at 2120 SW 32nd Ave. off Coral Way, where Stephanie was walking with her mother. A 92-year-old driver reportedly confused the gas and brake pedals, causing her red SUV to run over the child, police said.

Witnesses rushed to the scene to assist the injured child, lifting the SUV off of Stephanie before emergency services arrived.

Stephanie was rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center in for prompt treatment, where medical staff fought to save her life. Despite their best efforts, the young girl surrendered to her injuries days later.

The family, in a final act of generosity amidst their grief, has decided to donate Stephanie’s organs.
