In this latest move, Avalon Northlake LLC has purchased a 9.05-acre property adjacent to the Publix at Northlake Promenade Shoppes for a cool $16.5 million. The plan? To build 279 apartments right next to the popular grocery store.
For those familiar with the area, this particular Publix, located at 374 Northlake Boulevard, is well-known among locals. It has over 1,300 reviews on Google and holds a solid 4.4-star rating, though opinions are definitely mixed.
As for the apartments, they’re set to bring even more life to the area. Avalon Northlake LLC plans to turn the mostly vacant land into a high-end residential community. Avalon properties in the area typically don’t come cheap—rent prices for their other communities range from about $1,810 for a studio to $3,375 for a three-bedroom. Given the prime location, just blocks from the Intracoastal Waterway, some of these apartments could even come with stunning water views.
