Senior citizens in the Brownsville community of Miami have a new cause for celebration as Miami-Dade County officially opens the Lincoln Gardens Apartments, a complex designed to provide affordable housing options for the elderly. The announcement of this grand opening, to be held on Thursday, September 26, brings to fruition the second phase of a vision that has transformed over nine acres of what was previously Miami-Dade Public Housing site into a space of hope and dignified living for its senior residents.
