Georgia Developer Proposes Affordable Housing Project in Florida

A new affordable housing development is being proposed in Miramar,Florida as a Georgia-based developer seeks to address the rising demand for low-cost housing in Broward County. The City Commission is set to review the site plan and plat for the Residences at Foxcroft Cove on September 18, a five-story project that could bring much-needed affordable apartments to the area.

The developer, Arbor Ridge Housing Partners, an affiliate of the affordable housing firm Nurock Companies based in Alpharetta, Georgia, has the 2.13-acre property at 3300 Foxcroft Road under contract. The land is being purchased from IT Webcam LLC, a Plantation-based company.

Project Details

The proposed Residences at Foxcroft Cove would cover 93,000 square feet and feature 84 apartment unitsalongside 189 parking spaces. The apartments would vary in size, ranging from 650 to 1,061 square feet, with a mix of 16 one-bedroom units, 53 two-bedroom units, and 15 three-bedroom units.

The development would also offer a variety of amenities, including a gym, a lobby, and a pool, designed to enhance the living experience for its residents. The architectural design for the project was handled by Cristina Fandino of CFM Architects, a Miami-based firm. However, Fandino was not available for comment.
