For many seniors, the idea of retiring to a beach town is a desirable one. Walking barefoot on the soft sand while listening to gentle waves could theoretically feel like being on vacation every day. And Florida has plenty of beach-front towns. Unfortunately, a financial website, GoBanking Rates, has listed three different Florida cities as among the worst six beach towns for seniors to retire in the United States – or a whopping 50%.
The Study And What It Measured: In late September of 2024, GoBanking Rates published what it felt were the six worst American beach towns for seniors’ retirement.

Let’s have a look at the Florida cities that made the list.
