Ashanti Smith, a 22-year-old student at Florida A&M University, died n a fatal car crash on Sept. 29. A native of Fort Lauderdale, Smith majored in criminal justice and was deeply involved in campus life. She served as the president of Ladies of Torque, where she inspired her peers with her passion and leadership.
