Mom of unidentified toddler dropped off at Florida daycare located, deputies say

WEST PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — The mother of the unidentified toddler who was dropped off at a South Florida daycare has been located, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.

The child, who is believed to be named Malaya, was dropped off at Panda Little Academy, located at 3900 Southwest 40th Avenue in West Park on Thursday morning. The girl does not attend that daycare.

However, the young girl was left at the daycare.

The sheriff’s office believes the girl to be about 2 or 3 years old.

A man driving a dark-colored vehicle was seen dropping the girl off at school.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the sheriff’s office’s Special Victims Unit Detective Vanessa Encina at 561-513-8557.

No further details are known about this incident and detectives are actively investigating.
