$10K for a Tip: Can You Help Solve This Deadly Lauderdale Lakes Hit-and-Run?

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 through Broward Crime Stoppers for any information that leads to the arrest of the driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Lauderdale Lakes.

The incident occurred on August 5, 2023, around 12:07 p.m. on the 4300 block of West Oakland Park Boulevard. A white 2017 Chevrolet Malibu, heading west in the outside lane, struck pedestrian Brudienell Kelly, who was walking near or in the crosswalk at the time. The driver fled the scene, leaving Kelly critically injured. Despite efforts from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue, Kelly was pronounced dead after being transported to a nearby hospital.

During the investigation, detectives discovered the white Chevrolet Malibu in a parking lot, showing damage consistent with hitting a pedestrian. However, the driver remains unidentified.
