Five Stars Caribbean Cuisine in Miramar, Florida, was Shut Down for 12 violations; Reopened

Five Stars Caribbean Cuisine, located at 6265 County Line Road in Miramar, Florida, was ordered shut down on October 31, 2024, after a health inspection revealed serious violations. Inspectors identified 12 violations, primarily linked to unsanitary conditions in the kitchen.

State records revealed that the Broward County Haitian and Caribbean eatery was found with 3 high-priority violations, 5 intermediate Violations and 4 basic violations during the inspection.

On a positive, though, Five Stars Caribbean Cuisine was allowed to reopen after meeting a callback follow-up inspection on November 1, 2024, although 7 violations were still discovered.

The initial inspection on October 31 noted “roach activity present,” with multiple live roaches found in various locations. Specifically, seven live roaches were discovered in a napkin dispenser, 10 were located in a paper bag on a kitchen shelf, four were on a wall, and two were found on the ceiling.

Additionally, two dead roaches were reported on clean plates within the kitchen area, raising significant health concerns.
