VIDEO: Severe flight turbulence on Florida-bound flight sends person airborne, requires plane inspection

MIAMI, Fla. (WFLA) — A Miami-bound flight turned frightening after the plane experienced severe turbulence, causing a diversion and requiring inspection of the plane.

The Scandinavian Airlines flight on Thursday, heading to Miami from Stolkholm, was diverted to Copenhagen after turbulence sent a person and other items on board into the air.

A video captured by a passenger shows the terrifying moments, as people are heard screaming and crying out in fear in the background.

“We need off this plane” a woman is heard frantically telling the man videoing. “Sam, what the **** is going on?”

“Help her up, help her up,” another passenger is heard saying.

CNN reported that there were no injuries from the turbulence.
