Last weekend, families in Plantation, South Florida, witnessed a toy drive organized by Caresha “Yung Miami” Romeka Brownlee. At the community event — Caresha Gives — the rapper donated toys to underprivileged children. The toy drive was aimed at ‘giving back to the community,’ where the 30-year-old rapper participated with others to spread some Christmas cheer.
Talking about the event, here’s what Brownlee said:
“I just felt like, if I can be a blessing to others, I would like to be. So I thought… you know… it’s Christmas time… I want to be able to give back to the people in need and just to be able to give back”
She was also quoted saying:
“Christmas has always been my favorite holiday, and it was incredible to see the smiles on these kids’ faces. South Florida will always be home, and giving back to this community that shaped me is a blessing.”
Yung Miami concluded:
“Every child deserves to feel special on Christmas, and I’m so happy we could make that happen this year.
