Miami-Dade County, FL, restaurants with the most violations in the last 30 days

Recent inspections by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation have put several Miami-Dade County restaurants in the spotlight due to violations found during routine checks. State records showed that out of 662 restaurants inspected in the last 30 days, 548 passed on their first visit, but 114 failed to meet initial standards.

Restaurants That Were Highlighted

One restaurant, El Mio at 12362 Quail Roost Dr. in Miami, was in the spotlight during this period after it was temporarily closed when inspectors found 24 violations, including seven high-priority issues, on December 17, 2024. A subsequent callback follow-up inspection the next day showed improvement, but a second review is still required, according to state records.

In the meantime, La Mesa Kendall, located at 8525 Mills Dr. Unit 307-309 in Miami, topped the list with 41 violations, including seven high-priority issues, during its December 18, 2024 inspection.

However, the restaurant met standards in a follow-up review two days later with nine violations found and none being high-priority issues.
