A Florida man is accused of killing a jeweler over a $20,000 Rolex watch he later told police he wanted to give his girlfriend for Christmas, police said.
Nenad Milosevich, 56, faces a murder charge in the death of Anthony D’Amore, 73, authorities said.
The events leading to the discovery of the body happened on Dec. 23, when Fort Lauderdale police responded to a jewelry business in a suite at 6245 N. Federal Highway about a welfare check on D’Amore, police said in an arrest report . The building manager had to pry open Suite 323 for officers to let them in. Inside, police found D’Amore dead on the floor, the document said.

Surveillance video showed the victim arriving with a man — later identified as Milosevich — on Dec. 20, the document said. Both men entered Suite 323, but only Milosevich exited the room. He was carrying a small bag and large square items covered in a towel or blanket, took the elevator and walked out of the building two hours and 42 minutes later, authorities said.
