South Floridians showed their generosity as 2024 ended

South Floridians are among the most generous anywhere and activities closing out 2024 are proof of that. Local Coral Gables residents Scott and Belinda Sime, with their annual toy drive and holiday party, knock themselves out year after year with an event that keeps growing in attendance and donations.

A record 960 toys filled their dining room as 350 or more people gathered for an amazing, albeit slightly wet evening, at the couple’s beautiful waterfront home on Dec. 14. Toys collected were distributed to Lighthouse for the Blind, Toys for Tots, Nicolas Children’s Hospital, Christ Journey and Coral Gables Woman’s Club Children’s Dental Clinic.

This is always one of the best parties of the year with such a great mission. Kudos to the Simes and all those who helped support countless food, clothing and toy drives throughout the year. and seems to grow every year.
