POMPANO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A mother and her son were identified as the two victims killed in a double murder-suicide in Pompano Beach.
Colleen and Connor Sheridan were found shot to death at a home at 330 South Golf Boulevard. The suspect, James Sheridan, was also found dead in the home from what investigators believe is a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) said the deadly shooting occurred on the evening of March 19, when dispatch received a call requesting a welfare check on a resident in the area. Responding deputies observed two vehicles parked in the driveway and an overflowing mailbox but received no response after knocking on the door.
The sheriff’s office said that, concerned for the safety of those inside, deputies called Pompano Beach Fire Rescue to assist in gaining entry. Once inside, emergency crews discovered three people — two men and a woman — with apparent gunshot wounds…
