Lucky Florida woman snags $5 million scratch-off lottery prize from Crossword Cash game

HIALEAH, FL – A lucky Florida woman is celebrating a life-changing windfall. Nubia Fagot, 62, of Hialeah, claimed a $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 CROSSWORD CASH Scratch-Off game, according to the Florida Lottery. She opted for a one-time lump-sum payment of $3,262,138.

Fagot purchased her winning ticket at Beacon Service Station, located at 8399 NW 12th Street in Doral. The retailer earned a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.

The $20 Scratch-Off game offers over $239.6 million in prizes, with overall odds of 1-in-2.90. Since its inception, Florida Lottery Scratch-Off games have awarded $65.5 billion in prizes and contributed over $19.8 billion to education.
